Fernside report offers recommendations and creative tools to build capacity
During this past year, the Fernside Center for Grieving Children and the Clifford Consulting team have worked together to build evaluation capacity, explore the impact of Fernside’s programs on grieving children and their families, and reflect on Fernside’s role in the community and field. This month, our final report was presented to Fernside leadership including fourteen concrete recommendations falling under four overarching strategies for programming, evaluation, leadership, and organizational sustainability. In addition to the report, our team worked with Fernside on A Taxonomy of artworks: A toolkit for arts-based evaluation to evaluate the impact of peer support groups on developing positive coping skills among grieving children. We appreciate the opportunity to help Fernside ensure that all grieving children in the Greater Cincinnati region are successfully supported in their grief journey.
